The scientific miracles of Qura’n and Sunnah in Embryology
A scientific miracle in the Qura’n or in the Sunnah , in general , means that a fact in a particular science was well documented in these scriptures since in the 7th century AD, and it was impossible at that time to be known . Modern experimental embryology is a fairly recent science which has its beginnings with the invention of the microscope in the seventeenth century. This science includes all topics concerning with development of the embryo .
On the revision of the basics of modern embryology , and comparing them with the facts concerned with human development that were reported in the Qur’an and Sunnah since the seventh century , it becomes clear that these facts are strongly coincident with the recent discoveries of modern embryology , that were unknown before the nineteenth century or even at the beginning of the twentieth century.
Our sir , Muhammad , peace and blessings be upon him , was an illiterate man , who knows nothing about medical sciences and did not had any microscopes or endoscopes to provide such a detailed and accurate description of the stages of development of the human embryo in its sound chronological sequence . Moreover, the terms used to describe these different stages are devoid of vagueness and ambiguity and are in accordance with the modern rules applied to select the scientific terms. Thus , it is clear that these facts must be a revelation from God (Allah ) to His prophet Mohammad, peace and blessings be upon him, Allah , the Almighty , said :
“ Nor does he speak of ( his own ) desire , It is only a revelation revealed , He has been taught ( this Qur’an ) by one mighty in power )Gabriel)” (Surah Al-Najm , 53: Ayat 3- 5)
No one except Allah (God) can know these secrets , as He is the Creator of the universe , of man and of every thing . There is no limit to the science of Allah and no end to His Power , He Knows every thing , what we know and what we do not know , Allah , the Almighty , said :
“Should not He Who has created know ? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous ( to his slaves ) , All-Aware (of every thing)” (Surah Al-Mulk , 67 : Ayah 14)
Allah , the almighty, wanted that Muhammad , peace and blessings be upon him , to be the last of the prophets and messengers and the noble Qura’n to be the last of His messages to all mankind , Allah , the Almighty , said :
“Say : O mankind! I am sent to you all as the messenger of Allah ” (Surah Al-Araaf , 7: Ayah 158)
Allah , the Almighty , also said :
“ Muhammad is not the father of any of your men , but he is the messenger of Allah and the last (seal) of the prophets” (Surah Al-Alahzab , 33 : Ayah 40)
The messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him , said :
“My similutude in comparison with the other prophets before me is that of a man who has built a house nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner .The people go round about it and wonder at its beauty , but say : Would that this brick be put in its space ? So I am that brick , and I am the last ( end) of the prophets ” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, 4/3535)
Therefore , the Qura’n will remain a continuous miracle to all generations and for all times till the Day of Resurrection , so our sir Muhammad , peace and blessings be upon him , said :
“There was no prophet among the prophets but was given miracles because of which people had belief , but what I have been given is the Divine revelation which Allah has revealed to me . So I hope that my followers will be more than those of any other prophet on the Day of Resurrection ” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, 9/7274)
